Locksmith Tip #1

December 3, 2009 by admin

We suggest that you lubricate your locks a few times a year to help keep them in optimal condition. With out lubricating your locks, using them on a daily basis will really put some wear and tear on them. Eventually, you will run into mechanical problems.

These mechanical failures that could happen, could lead to your lock breaking and getting locked out! That means, calling a locksmith to possible repair the lock or you may have to get a new lock – costing you even more money.

Very important to use the compressed air (Like the one we use to clean the computers Key Boards) that is to clean the dust, and then use a lubricate (WD-40), promise you guys, it is the best to keep your locks maximum operation conditions.

Good information to know for sure. I’m going to hardware store and grabbing some WD-40. I have never lubricated my locks before. It would be good idea, so I don’t have any future problems. Thank you for sharing.
